Nice Airport Departures

Nice Cote d’Azur Airport is a busy airport in France that is located approximately 7 km away from the city centre. The airport has two terminals, Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 that are also connected with each pother through a free shuttle bus service. All the domestic and international flights are served by these terminals for departures and arrivals. The departure area at terminal 1 is located at both first floor as well as the ground floor. You can find the check-in desks opposite the main entrance and in the middle of the hall as well. However in Terminal 2, the check-in desks and departure area are located at first floor only. You need to be sure of using the correct access to your boarding gate.

Due to the fact that both the terminals handle departing flights so it might be confusing for some passengers to locate the exact place of their departures. However, the airline would tell you exactly which terminal to use but as a brief description, generally flights to Ireland, UK, Easyjet and Air France make use of Terminal 2 while all other flights depart from Terminal 1. Even if you mistakenly arrive at the wrong terminal then you can still avail the free shuttle bus that operates between the two terminals. The bus is of royal-blue color which also contains a wheelchair ramp. There are drop-off zones at both terminals for unloading passengers.

Both terminals at Nice airport consist of a good selection of bars, restaurants and shops so checking in early proves to be a good idea for browsing the shops if you wish to buy last minute presents or having a meal before your flight. You can even visit the other terminal building through the shuttle bus service that operates from each terminal every 7 minutes.
